Extraterrestrials and Christianity

Image
There's nothing in the Bible directly referencing other worlds, extraterrestrials, or extradimensional and interdimensional beings, and a lot of other things like cryptidzoological creatures such as Bigfoot or Mothman. If you haven't been reading this blog series, I highly suggest you retrace your steps and read my list of entries before you read this one. Was The Garden of Eden Temporally Displaced? Angels and Demons Nephililim, Giants, and Monsters Jinn, Fae, and Elementals UFO'S and Angels There is not much Biblical basis for the existence of extraterrestrials, but that does not mean they do not exist, as I illustrated in my last post "UFOs and Angels." There's a lot of conspiracy theories that involve aliens and the Catholic Church, and most of them are likely bunk. I really cannot take "Ancient Aliens" and the Gaia Network, or late authors like Thomas Horn, seriously, predominantly because of their lack of understanding of history, patristic and...

UFO's and Angels

UFO sightings became popular in the United States in the 1940s after the supposed extraterrestrial crash in Roswell, New Mexico, but UFO historians can trace sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects throughout the centuries. Today they are referred to as UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), and over the last several decades, there are many theories as to what UFOs or UAPs are? Some speculate that they are extraterrestrial aircrafts that are used for interstellar travel or that they are both extraterrestrial and extradimensional, traveling through dimensions. Another speculation is that extraterrestrials came to Earth many eons ago and that they reside underneath the Earth or in our oceans. A parallel alternative to this theory is that these beings and their aircraft are not extraterrestrial but terrestrial, being an ancient and hidden race that predated mankind or whose knowledge of their existence became lost to humanity after several cataclysms. Alternatives to this theory are that ...

Jinn, Fae, and Elementals

Besides Giants and Monsters being the offspring of the Watchers known as Nephilim, other thoughts and interpretations are those of Jinn, Fairies, and other Elementals. In some traditions of Christian folklore or pious tradition (with a lowercase "p"), these magical creatures are believed to be some form of Nephilim. Others may speculate that they are neither Angelic nor Human, but perhaps their very own thing—be they extraterrestrial, extradimensional, or interdimensional beings from this very planet, within a different plane of existence. The Jinn are of pre-Islamic Arabic origin, although they were later incorporated into the Muslim creation story as a third race between Angels and Humans. Then there are the European Fairies or Fae, the offspring of the Tuath Dé Danann, who themselves were believed to be gods, druids, kings, and queens, and warriors. These fairy people lived in an underground world in fairy mounds. It may just be that the Tuath Dé Danann and the North Ameri...

Nephilim, Giants, and Monsters

In the ancient world, Watchers, also known as Grigori, are said to have taken human wives who bore Giants. These Angelic beings are referred to as the Sons of God in the Old Testament, in the Book of Genesis, and as Angels in the New Testament, in the Letters of the Apostles. References to the Fallen Angels as Watchers can be found in apocryphal works such as the Book of Enoch. Many of the Early Church Fathers believed that the conception of Giants, known as Nephilim, were in fact the physical offspring of Fallen Angels and Human Women. Later Church Fathers and Theologians would take on the Sethite interpretation that the Sons of God were the descendants of the Patriarch Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve, and that the Nephilim were the offspring of the intermingling of the children of Seth and Cain. It was believed in this allegorical interpretation that the Sons of God were a group of celibate, contemplative monastics who lived on Mount Hermon, who were seduced by the Daughters of C...
